Anyone tried the AC Delco filters? How do they compare to Wix in your experience? I’m looking for alternatives but want something reliable.

I’ve used AC Delco and they are solid but I still prefer Wix. Just feels like the Wix filters provide better overall engine health.
Wix is my go-to, but I appreciate hearing about alternatives! It’s always good to have options in case one brand isn’t available.
Haha, I’ve heard the Wix filters are made by unicorns! Just kidding—seriously though, they do seem to have a good reputation.

I’ve used the WIX 51334 oil filter on my last oil change. Make sure to pre-fill the filter with oil before installation to ensure better lubrication during startup!
Great tip! I also recommend using an oil filter wrench for a tighter grip while removing the old filter. It can save you a lot of hassle!
If you’re having trouble with leakage after installation, double-check the rubber O-ring on the filter. Sometimes it can stick to the engine, causing issues.
I’ve faced that issue! It’s such a hassle to track down leaks. Always inspect that O-ring for a proper seal.
When installing, remember it’s usually hand-tight only. Over-tightening can damage the filter! Just a gentle snug is all you need.

I’m curious, how often do you all change your oil filters? I try to do it every other oil change.
I do mine every oil change! Can’t be too careful about engine health, right?

Every oil change seems excessive to me. I believe the manual suggests every 5,000 miles or so, depending on driving conditions.
That’s a good guideline! However, I’d consider engine usage too. Heavier use might require more frequent changes.
