Falken’s reputation is gradually becoming more prominent as they launch a series of quality products to serve various needs.
This brand offers us a wide selection from seasonal tires to performance tires and even off-road tires. Falken WildPeak A/T Trail is a prominent name, with the ability to cross the terrain much more impressive than many competitors.
The other features of this product from Falken are also awe-inspiring. So, is this tire worth it to buy as the recommendation above? In the Falken WildPeak A/T Trail review, let’s analyze its outstanding factors through the performance tests!
Outstanding Features
A quality off-road tire product like the Falken WildPeak A/T Trail will give users excellent off-road performance.
Vehicles equipped with high-quality tires will operate stably regardless of weather or terrain conditions.
The product’s pulling force is highly stable and produces surprisingly strong power. It is the premise to develop the impressive obstacle course ability that WildPeak A/T Trail possesses.
You can rest assured that roads with snow, roughness, mud or even mountain slopes will not reduce tire performance.
The surface of winter snow is always an obstacle that aggressive off-road tires must overcome. Falken changed this downside with 3D Canyon sipes technology.
It allows the tire to grip better and does not create too much impact force to cause slipping for the vehicle. Experts have given this tire a 3PMSF rating thanks to its impressive snow features.
Off-road tires and comfort often don’t go together, as many manufacturers sacrifice convenience for better performance.
We may think that products with an aggressive appearance like WildPeak are also like that, but the truth is not.
The unique texture with a high amount of rubber and constituent compounds helps to increase the product’s elasticity significantly.
The more elastic, the less reaction force will be; thereby, it keeps the vehicle stable and increases the smoothness when moving.
Even the noise caused by friction is significantly reduced. The feeling that Falken WildPeak A/T Trail brings can be no different from tourist tire models.
Falken took advantage of the compound to coat the thick and side surfaces of the WildPeak A/T Trail.
This coating has a perfect protection effect on bumpy and frictionless roads. Large, rough spikes with a central vein are also likely to produce better friction.
These features give the tire the impressive grip that an off-road tire needs. Another effect is allowing our handling on many terrains to be much smoother.
The elasticity of the tire surface also contributes significantly to keeping the product’s durability stable. If rolling over enormous obstacles, the elasticity of the tire will minimize the damage caused.
It only takes a small amount of time for the size of the surface to recover to avoid affecting the product’s overall performance.
Despite its good durability, the manufacturer still provides the tire with a warranty program of up to 65,000 miles. This number is much higher than many other tires, thus creating peace of mind for us when using.
Falken tires have a mid-range price compared to other versions in the identical segment. However, the cost is still a bargain for users like me for the features received.
Test Drive
How tires affect the vehicle’s performance is certainly not an issue we are unfamiliar with, especially with off-road and high-performance cars.
To help you better understand the product’s response to different conditions, I have conducted tests that synthesize essential information.
The necessary parameters will appear right below in the article to give the most proper judgment about Falken WildPeak A/T Trail.
Wet/Slippery Roads
I can assure you that the wet performance of the Falken WildPeak A/T Trail is excellent. Through many tests with different speeds, the product will still give a single result, which is stable performance.
The veins are reasonably arranged on the Falken WildPeak A/T Trail surface to help drain standing water much more practical than the old design.
At the same time, this is also a mechanism to support and prevent hydration from occurring. Hydrolysis is a typical phenomenon that eliminates all friction, making your car unstable.
This problem stems from the liquid covering the tire’s surface, but if the moisture drains away, the hydration is also gone. The manufacturer even uses waterproof layers to maximize the performance of the tire.
When operating a vehicle in a wet environment, the grip is a significant issue if you do not want the car to slide or lose control.
Fortunately, the tire’s excellent grip and friction protect you from accidents.
Thanks to the stable construction, the materials that make up the few grips and grooves do a pretty good job. The result is maintaining the overall performance.
Dry Tarmac
Despite being an off-road tire, Falken WildPeak A/T Trail gives us impressive dry performance. This factor significantly increases the use-value of products from this Falken brand.
The control of the car on this surface is not too difficult because the steering system and structural details, such as the flex of the tire’s sides, will help you complete this complex job well.
The excellent grip from the treads and unique compounds will help the vehicle operate more stably. Traveling on the highway will have a bit of trouble accelerating with this heavy tire.
In addition, another problem related to class drag will also significantly increase the vehicle’s fuel consumption. The above factors will be the details you need to remember when you want to operate the car on dry surfaces.
Snowy & Ice
Falken WildPeak A/T Trail can navigate the snow and has a 3PMSF rating that has proven the tire’s performance across various tests.
I also realized the difference between WildPeak and other competitors through my tests. Tires give a better grip, limiting long-term skidding, especially on thin layers of ice.
High stability also comes from digging deep into the snowy side of the treads on the tire’s surface.
Similar to moving on water, tires need a high grip and stability to drive on snow. With the factors I mentioned above, we are more particular about the snow performance of WildPeak A/T Trail.
But it would help if you kept in mind that there is a difference between off-road tires and tires for moving on snow and ice.
The product’s weight can cause the vehicle and you to get stuck deep inside if the snow thickness is too deep. So be careful before going to areas with more than 3 inches of snow.
Off-Road Driving & Comfort
In the previous sections, I have done an analysis of how the tire characteristics are suitable for off-road driving.
From personal experience, I find that through many tests with rocky, steep, and muddy terrain, vehicles equipped with WildPeak A/T are easily overcome.
The main reason agents such as rocks, sand, or mud cannot make the tire difficult is the solid tracks. Its horizontal design makes it easy to handle and remove small obstructions.
Grip increases slip resistance while other mechanisms amplify traction. They all aim to make the car easily move in as many complex terrains as possible.
Many terrain versions create the feeling of bouncing squirrels on roads with many obstacles. Fortunately, you won’t have to go through this discomfort with the Falken WildPeak A/T Trail.
Experts highly appreciate the elasticity and strength of this version, which creates a specific comfort experience. More importantly, the deep tread design prevents gravel access, which significantly contributes to noise and bouncing.
Is It Worth Your Money?
The Falken WildPeak A/T Trail has many impressive features to help us move better in various terrains. After-sales programs or product durability are better than many other competitors in the same segment.
The above factors and the right price are the main reasons WildPeak A/T Trail is so worth your cash to own.
Although not as expensive as the high-end versions, WildPeak A/T Trail still delivers perfect performance in various weather conditions.
Of course, its durability may not convince demanding users. However, you can’t expect too much from a mid-range version like this.

Alvin Reyes has expertise in automotive evaluation. He collaborated with famous newspapers and is still making efforts in tire review for DrivingPress.com
Just bought these in a 235/55 r18 for my 2021 Crosstrek. I put a 100 plus miles a day during the workweek in northeastern Washington (currently at 49000+ miles) so snow is a big factor, safety over mpg. After reading your review I went with the purchase. What I am impressed with right off the bat is the sidewall tread as I do live in the mountains this can be vary useful! I look forward to giving you an update after this winter but looking at the overall tread design I’m sure it will perform as needed. On top of that the tread thickness along with not having to put a lift kit on to get tires like this is a very nice plus as before it would have been necessary… a good selling point in it’s self.
