In my opinion, it’s more satisfying to do it yourself than to pay someone else! Plus, you learn a lot about your engine along the way.

Exactly! But how do you deal with some of the hidden costs, like tools you may not have?
A bit of humor: If I had a dollar for every time I forgot to put the drain plug back on, well, I’d have enough to pay someone else to do it!

Absolutely! I usually change mine every 5,000 miles because I drive in city conditions frequently. It keeps my engine happy!

Using synthetic is a good call! I run Mobil 1 0W-40, and I notice great performance. I still stick to the 7,500-mile rule, though.

I usually change the filter at every oil change. It’s not worth risking engine efficiency. What do you all say?
