Looking for NH Oil Undercoating Reviews - Is It Worth It?

Michael, I definitely recommend focusing on the wheel wells and the undercarriage edges. They tend to attract dirt and moisture. Using a brush can help apply the coating in those tight spots effectively!

It sounds like you’re all set, but do be careful with the odor. I had to take multiple breaks because the smell was pretty strong during application. Just a heads up if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing!

Thanks for the warning, watersryan! Anyone have suggestions on reserving a day where I can work outside? Weather can be such a pain when planning this kind of project.

I’ve had success applying it on a warm, sunny day! It helps the product adhere properly. You could also take a rain check day if weather isn’t cooperating, but generally, it’s ideal when it’s dry and mild.

I’m still on the fence about doing this myself. For those who applied it, was it really worth the cost and effort compared to having it done professionally?

It’s definitely a DIY project, Jimmy! I saved a lot doing it myself, and I felt good about being hands-on. Besides, the satisfaction of protecting my vehicle made it worth it for me. Just takes a bit of patience!

You’ve convinced me, garciaelizabeth! I think I’m going to give it a shot. Fingers crossed I don’t end up covered in more undercoating than my car! Any last-minute tips before I start?

I’ve been using NH Oil Undercoating for over two years on my truck, and it still looks great. I haven’t noticed any rust spots yet, which is impressive for my area. Definitely worth considering!

That’s great to hear! Do you do any maintenance on it, or just let it be?

I’ve been using NH Oil Undercoating on my car and after three winters, I can truly say it’s held up wonderfully. Just a quick inspection each fall is all I do for maintenance!

I love to hear that! Seems like a solid investment for long-term protection.

I’ve been skeptical about undercoating, but hearing about your experiences has piqued my interest! How much does this service typically cost?

In my experience, NH Oil Undercoating was about $150-$200, depending on the size of the vehicle. A fair price for peace of mind regarding rust protection!

I can see this going either way. Some swear by it, others seem disappointed. I guess it might depend on how harsh winter conditions are in your area?

That’s a bummer to hear. Have you followed the maintenance recommendations from NH Oil?

I’ve had it on my vehicle for five years now, and honestly, I still have the same issue with rust on certain areas. It works, but it isn’t a miracle cure. Just something to consider.

True! I’m in a very snowy area, and it seems NH Oil performs better under those conditions. It’s holding up well for me after three seasons of heavy snow.

Does it ever flake or come off? That’s my big concern. I don’t want to spray something on my car that just washes away after a few months.

I haven’t experienced any flaking! It stays sticky over time, which is a good sign for longevity in my opinion.

Overall, NH Oil Undercoating seems to have mixed reviews. Some say it’s worth it, and others disagree. But, I’m still excited to try it out despite the differing opinions!
