Best Muffler for That Low Rumble Sound?

I installed Borla on my friend’s Mustang. It’s a bit tricky removing the stock system, but with a bit of patience, it’s doable! Just be careful not to strip any bolts.

That’s good to know! I might just pay a shop to do the work if it’s that complicated. But then again, I wouldn’t mind a good laugh if things go awry!

For a deep, low rumble, I highly recommend the Flowmaster 40 series. It’s known for its aggressive sound while still maintaining quality performance. It really brings out that V8 growl.

I’ve heard great things about Flowmaster too! Another one to consider is the MagnaFlow, especially the performance series. It offers a rich tone that many enthusiasts love.

Both Flowmaster and MagnaFlow are solid options! However, keep in mind that the installation of these can affect back pressure. It’s essential to check how it impacts engine performance.

Good point! I’ve noticed that some mufflers provide more torque while sacrificing a slight increase in volume. Mellow sounds might be worth it for daily driving.

I’ve installed a Cherry Bomb and honestly, the sound is phenomenal! It gives a nice deep rumble without being overly loud. Plus, it has a distinctive look that adds to the vehicle’s aesthetics.

Haha, Cherry Bombs sound like a party on the road! But seriously, how do they compare with the others in terms of performance? Anyone had a dyno run with them?

As far as performance goes, Cherry Bombs can provide a decent gain, but it’s not as substantial as a straight-pipe option. Still, it’s an affordable and great-sounding choice for a low rumble.

I’m curious about the audio clips! Has anyone got a link to hear the differences between these mufflers? I’m really trying to get a feel for the sound I’d want.

Check out YouTube! There are tons of sound clips. If you’re looking for a specific model, just add its name followed by ‘sound test’ in the search!

It’s all about personal preference too! What one person loves, another might find too loud or too quiet. I remember my first muffler was way too aggressive and my neighbors weren’t happy!
