What’s the Towing Capacity for a 2017 F350?

Regardless of the specs, I feel like personal experience is key. Anyone want to weigh in on their experience towing with the F350?

I’ve towed a fifth wheel with mine, and it felt like it was barely working! The stability and braking power are top-notch.

That’s great to hear! I still wonder how it performs on steep inclines compared to its competition.

I’ve towed my 24-foot camper with my 2017 F350 and it handles like a dream! The towing capacity is around 21,000 lbs with the right configuration. Just make sure you have the right hitch.

That’s great to hear! I’ve always wondered how it performs on steep inclines. Any tips for those situations?

I find using the tow/haul mode helps a lot on slopes. It maximizes engine braking, which is a lifesaver when descending. Can’t believe how much safer it feels!

Absolutely! I learned that the hard way on my last trip with a heavy load.

Besides the settings, I always double-check tire pressure and load distribution. You can never be too careful when towing. Safety first!

So true! Those simple checks can prevent a lot of headaches down the road. Has anyone tried a weight distribution hitch?

Yes! The weight distribution hitch made a big difference for us. It keeps everything stable and greatly improves handling, especially on the highway.

That sounds interesting! Do you have a specific brand you would recommend?

I use the Equal-i-zer hitch. It’s pretty versatile and easy to adjust. I’d say it’s worth the investment if you’re towing regularly.

I just love how everyone here is sharing their insights! It reminds me how critical proper towing gear is. Do you guys ever experience sway issues?

Sway can be an issue, especially with larger loads. I’ve heard adding sway control can help reduce that. Anyone tried it?

Sway control definitely makes a difference! It gives that extra peace of mind when on the road. Happy towing, everyone!
