Any tips for using a 3100 psi Powerstroke pressure washer for car cleaning?

That’s a good tip! I just learned about that recently when I had a problem starting mine after winter. Very costly to fix!

What issues did you face, Robert? I’m curious about common starting problems.

It was due to fuel sitting in the tank too long. I learned to use a fuel stabilizer for the future!

To troubleshoot water pressure drops, make sure the hose isn’t kinked and check for blockages. This can really boost performance!

I’ve struggled with that before! Also, consider replacing the washer in the quick connect fittings if you see leaks.

I have a funny story about my pressure washer! I thought it was broken but it just needed a new spark plug. Sometimes, we overthink things!

That’s hilarious! It’s amazing how a small fix can save you a lot of trouble.

Also keep an eye on the air filter. A dirty filter can decrease performance dramatically!

Excellent reminder! I recently replaced mine, and it made a noticeable difference.

Has anyone experienced engine start failures consistently? I’m worried mine might be having issues.

Yes, check the fuel lines. They can get clogged or damaged, which leads to frustrating start failures.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! Any additional tips for cleaning cars without damaging the paint?

Yes! Use a wider spray nozzle and keep the wand at least two feet away. That helps avoid scratches.

Always remember to rinse off any soap residues immediately! It can help prevent damage as well. Happy washing!

I’ve been using a 3100 psi Powerstroke for a year, and it’s been great for car cleaning. The power really helps remove tough grime, especially on the wheels!

That’s good to hear, lucaswest! I’ve been eyeing the Karcher K5, which is about the same psi. Anyone have experience comparing the two?

The Karcher is decent, but I find the Powerstroke gives you a better value for the price, especially with the extra accessories that come with it.

Does the size of the Powerstroke make it less portable? I need something I can easily move around while washing my car.

It’s got some weight, but I find the wheels really help with maneuverability. Just be cautious with the hose management!

That’s interesting. How do the accessories hold up over time? Any wear and tear?
