Which SUV Has the Most Hip Room for Comfort?

I’m in the market for a new SUV, and one of my top priorities is ensuring that there’s plenty of hip room, especially for the passengers in the back.

With so many options out there, I want to make sure I’m considering all the right models. Here’s what I’m specifically interested in:

Key Considerations:

  • Hip Room Dimensions: I’d like to know the specific measurements for hip room in different SUVs.
  • Comfort Levels: Has anyone experienced discomfort in any particular models that lack space?
  • Seating Capacity: I’m also curious how many passengers can comfortably fit without feeling cramped.
  • Recommendations: If you have specific models you’d recommend based on personal experience or research, please share!

SUVs I’ve Considered So Far:

  • Honda CR-V: I’ve heard it’s pretty spacious, but does it really stand out in hip room?
  • Toyota RAV4: Similar queries; how does the rear seating hold up?
  • Ford Explorer: Is this worth considering for families who value space?

Request for Help:

I’d really appreciate any insights, personal reviews, or links to resources that might help in making my decision. Any advice on how to prioritize comfort and space in an SUV would be really helpful. Looking forward to your suggestions!

Thanks in advance!

I’ve done a lot of research, and the Honda CR-V has one of the best hip room measurements at about 55 inches. It’s great for bigger passengers!

Absolutely! Plus, the Chevy Tahoe is roomy too, especially if you need a third row.

I’m all about the spacious feel! My Nissan Pathfinder has a whopping hip room, and it does wonders for long drives. Comfort is key!

Can anyone compare the Subaru Ascent with others? I love those environmentally-friendly features but need hip space too!

Great question! The Ascent actually offers decent hip room but might feel snug compared to a CR-V.

Let’s not forget the Kia Telluride! It’s not only stylish but incredibly spacious in terms of hip room.

I find it hilarious how some SUVs call themselves ‘compact’ yet have more space than my first apartment! :joy:

Haha, so true! My buddy’s old SUV felt more like a bus. Any thoughts on hip room in the Mazda CX-5?

The CX-5 is sleek, but its hip room is not the most spacious. If hip room is your priority, maybe look at larger models instead.

Thanks for the insight! If hip room is crucial, I should probably avoid it. What about the new Hyundai Palisade?

The Palisade does great in hip room and overall comfort! It’s been designed for family travel, making the long rides much more enjoyable.

I appreciate everyone’s input here! It’s nice to know there are so many options for spacious hip room in SUVs now.

It’s definitely worth considering your specific needs! Each SUV has different features that cater to passenger comfort and size.

So true! I’ve been thinking about how these models evolve. The inner space and designs are fascinating to reflect upon.

I’ve owned a Honda CR-V for over two years, and I can say the hip room is fantastic! My family of four fits comfortably, even on long road trips.

I totally agree! The CR-V really has a spacious feel. We’ve never felt cramped, which is a big plus when traveling.

For hip room, don’t overlook the Kia Telluride. I recently rented one, and it has a ton of space in the second row. Plus, it feels luxurious inside!
