I’ve heard mixed reviews about that one. What do you think are its main pros and cons?
For me, the biggest pro is its durability. However, I did have to adjust the suspension after installation because it felt a bit bouncy at first.
I have the Motor Trike conversion on my Heritage Softail. It’s like a dream! Performance-wise, it handles really well, though I did have to add a steering stabilizer.
Sounds interesting! Do you feel it has affected your cornering ability much?
Honestly, yes! It’s not as nimble as a bike, but it has a nice glide on straight roads. Just don’t expect it to handle like a two-wheeled bike.
I’m still on the fence about converting my bike. Are there specific trikes that are easier to handle for beginners?
Great question, Stephanie! I found the kits by Custom Cycles to be beginner-friendly. They have good balance and stability right out of the box.
I’m thinking of getting the Roadsmith kit. I’ve heard people rave about it. Any thoughts?
Roadsmith is a solid choice! I almost went with them. They offer great storage and comfort, but the installation can be tricky if you’re not mechanical.
Definitely consider what you want in a trike! Storage space was my priority, which is why I’m happy with the kit I chose.
Agreed! I sometimes wish I had more for longer trips.
I went with the Frankenstein kit for something different. It’s quirky, but I love the unique look. Just be prepared to answer a lot of questions, haha!
Sounds fun! You might have started a trend with that choice, Michael!
Every kit has its quirks, but I think the joy of riding a trike is unparalleled. Just make sure it fits your riding style!
Take your time deciding! Each setup is unique and reflects your personality. Good luck with your conversion journey!
