What Are Your Thoughts on Herculiner Bed Liner? Looking for Reviews!

I’ve been doing some research on Herculiner bed liners recently, and I’m eager to hear from people who have actually used them. I’m considering applying it to my truck bed for added protection against scratches and rust, and I want to ensure I’m making the right choice. Here’s what I’d like to know:

Durability and Protection

  • How well does the Herculiner hold up against heavy use?
  • Have any of you experienced issues with peeling or fading over time?
  • Does it really provide the level of protection it claims?

Application Process

  • How was your experience with the application? Did you do it yourself or hire someone?
  • If you applied it yourself, what tips do you have for a smooth application?
  • Were there any challenges you faced that I should be aware of?

Overall Satisfaction

  • After using it for a while, are you satisfied with your decision?
  • Would you recommend Herculiner to a friend, or would you suggest looking into other options?
  • Any added benefits you’ve noticed since applying it?

It would really help me out to hear your stories and any pros and cons you’ve encountered. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I’ve used Herculiner on my truck bed, and I’m really impressed with the durability! Preparation is key—make sure to thoroughly clean and sand the surface before applying. It makes a huge difference.

Absolutely! I found that the more prep work I did, the better the finish looked. I used a power sander, and it saved me so much time!

I’ve applied Herculiner twice and each time it was pretty straightforward. Just follow the instructions carefully, and you’ll be fine. Allowing it to cure properly is also critical for longevity.

What kind of roller did you all use? I’m considering using Herculiner, but I’m not sure about the application tools.

I used a standard 1/4 inch nap roller, and it worked great! Make sure you keep a wet edge to avoid overlaps.

I also went with a roller, but I did use a brush for the corners. It requires a bit more finesse, but I think it looks better in the end!

Herculiner is fantastic! But, it does take some time to apply and cure. Just don’t rush it; I learned that the hard way!

Yes! Patience is key. I left mine to cure for a full 24 hours before testing it out, and it paid off!

How did you tackle the cleanup after applying it? The sticky residue worried me a bit.

I was worried too! But I found that acetone worked wonders for cleanup. Just make sure to wear gloves.

Thanks for the tip! I really want to avoid having a sticky vehicle for weeks!

Overall, I think the Herculiner is a solid product. I’ve had mine for over a year now with no signs of wear—though I did take good care during the application.

Anyone ever had issues with bubbling? I think I might have rushed my application, and I’m worried about it.

I’ve seen bubbling happen if the surface wasn’t prepped properly or if it was applied too thickly. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully!

I find it amusing that some people prefer to use a brush over rollers. Each to their own, I guess! I just roll with it, pun intended!

Haha, good one, Sean! I’m all about the roller too, just makes it easier and quicker in my opinion!

I’ve used Herculiner for over two years now, and I can say it holds up really well. It resists scratches and chemical spills surprisingly effectively. It’s saved my truck bed from some serious paint damage.

That sounds great! How about UV exposure? Does it fade much after being in sunlight?

In my experience, it does fade slightly but not dramatically. I park outside all the time, and the liner still looks decent after several months.
