I owned the 2003 Ultra Classic 100th Anniversary for a few years, and it was a dream to ride. The power delivery from the Twin Cam 88 engine is smooth and responsive. I took it on several long trips and found the comfort level outstanding!

Absolutely! The torque kicks in nicely, making highway cruising a breeze. I think it really shines when you hit those open roads.

I’ve heard mixed feelings about the handling of this model. Some say it feels heavy at slow speeds. Anyone else experience that?

It definitely has a bit of weight to it, but I’ve found that the handling improves significantly with some practice. It’s all about getting used to its size.

I agree, Yevans! It handles really well on the highway, and those long rides are a blast. For enhancements, I added aftermarket pipes for better sound and a slightly tuned intake which really wakes up the engine!

I haven’t made any modifications yet, but I’m curious about what other riders have done for comfort improvements. Any suggestions?

I swapped out the seat for a Heritage seat, and it’s made a world of difference on long rides! Highly recommend it.

Is there a noticeable difference in fuel efficiency after modifications? I’ve been hesitant to make changes.

Good question! I’ve seen a minor drop in mpg after my mods, but the performance boost is worth it if you ask me!

Honestly, the stock setup is solid for everyday riding, but if you plan to tour a lot, upgrades could be fun! Plus, who doesn’t love a little more power?

This bike is like riding a couch on wheels! I laugh at how comfortable it is for long distances. Have yet to meet a motorcycle that matches this in terms of comfort!

Right? You could practically sleep on it. But I sometimes wish it had a bit more grit in the curves. Anyone else?

I’ve owned my 2003 Ultra Classic for over a decade, and overall, it’s been reliable. Regular maintenance is key, especially with the transmission and brakes. Don’t skip the oil changes!

I totally agree! I had some issues with the fuel system, but a good mechanic sorted it out quickly. Does anyone else have advice on fuel system upkeep?

If you keep up with the maintenance, the bike can last forever! Mine had a few electrical quirks, but nothing too serious. Just stay proactive!

Exact same here! The horn would randomly stop working. I replaced the relay and it fixed the issue. Anyone else face similar electrical problems?

I’ve read that regular tire checks can extend their life significantly. I had to replace mine last summer and it wasn’t cheap!

Great tip! Remember to check the brakes too. My bike made a squealing noise and it turned out to be the brake pad wear indicator. Easy fix!

I’ve had mine since it was new, and it’s been pretty darn reliable. Just keep an eye on the battery; it doesn’t last forever, especially in cold weather.
