Looking for USA-Made Windshield Wipers - Recommendations?

Seeking Quality: Windshield Wipers Made in the USA

I’ve been looking into purchasing new windshield wipers for my car and I’m particularly interested in options that are made in the USA.

Why American-Made?

I believe in supporting domestic manufacturing, and I’ve heard that US-made products often stand up better to the wear and tear of daily driving.

Things I’m Considering:

  • Performance: How well do these wipers clean the windshield in various weather conditions?
  • Durability: Do they last longer compared to overseas products?
  • Price: While I’m ready to invest in quality, I still want to make sure I’m getting a good deal.

Brands I’ve Found:

I’ve come across a few brands like TRICO and some others, but I want to hear from those who have experience with these or any other American-made options.

  1. TRICO: What do you think about their performance? Are there different models I should consider?
  2. Other Brands: Any other recommendations or brands to look into?

Questions:

  • What has your experience been with these products?
  • Are there specific models that you think work particularly well?
  • Where do you usually purchase them? (Online vs. local stores)

I’d love to get your thoughts and advice before I make my final decision. Looking forward to your responses!

I’ve been using USA-made windshield wipers for a couple of years now, and I can definitely say they outlast the overseas ones. The durability is impressive, especially in heavy rain and snow.

That’s great to hear! Which brand do you recommend? I’ve had issues with streaking on some imported options.

I can recommend Trico wipers. They are made in the USA and have been fantastic for me in extreme weather. No streaking at all.

Good to know! I’ve seen Trico around but never tried them. How do they compare to Bosch, which I often see mentioned?

From my experience, Bosch does well too, but Trico seems to last longer with better rubber. The USA-made aspect definitely feels like a bonus.

I think it also depends on where you live. For instance, in heavy snow areas, the rubber compounds in USA-made wipers seem to handle ice better during winter months.

It’s true! I live in a rainy state, and I’ve noticed a significant difference in how they cut through the water. I’m all for supporting local manufacturing.

Exactly! Investing in quality wipers saves money in the long run because you don’t need to replace them as often.

I recently switched to Anco wipers, which are made in the USA. They’ve been performing better than my last set from overseas brands!

Nice! Did you notice a difference in sound or visibility while driving?

Definitely! Anco wipers are quieter and provide clearer visibility. It’s like driving with fresh eyes during a storm!

I have to admit, I’ve been skeptical about the hype around American-made products, but I might give them a try after reading these reviews.

It’s understandable! Sometimes it feels like part of the marketing, but when you find that quality, it’s worth it.

Remember though, not all USA-made products are equal! Some have great quality while others might not impress. Always check for reviews!

I’ll definitely keep an eye on reviews! But hey, as long as they don’t come with a warranty as short as my attention span, I’m interested! :joy:

Haha, that’s the spirit! Just make sure you buy those involved with reputable brands!

I’m also on the hunt for USA-made windshield wipers! I’ve heard that brands like ‘Trico’ and ‘Rain-X’ have options that are manufactured in the US. Anyone had luck finding those in local stores?

Great suggestion! I’ve found Rain-X at Walmart, but I’m not sure if it’s all made in the USA. I’ll check Trico too!

If you’re looking buy online, try sites like ‘AutoZone’ or ‘Advance Auto Parts.’ They often have filters to show locally made products. Let’s support American businesses!
