Looking for the Best Wheel Spacers for My 2013 F150

I’ve been considering upgrading my 2013 Ford F-150 with some wheel spacers, but I want to gather some feedback and reviews before making a decision.

Why Wheel Spacers?

Wheel spacers can change not just the aesthetics of your ride but also its handling. By pushing the wheels out a little further from the hub, they create a wider stance that can improve stability, especially when cornering. Plus, if you’re looking to fit larger tires or just want to enhance the overall look, spacers might be a good direction to go.

Key Considerations

Before I dive in, I’d love some advice on:

  1. Compatibility: What specifications should I look for to ensure they fit my F-150 without causing issues?
  2. Safety: Are there any safety concerns I should be aware of when using wheel spacers?
  3. Aftermarket Rims: If I have aftermarket rims, will spacers affect their performance or fit?
  4. Brands: Any particular brands that stand out for quality or reliability? And, are there any models or configurations to avoid?

Experiences & Recommendations

If anyone has experience with installing wheel spacers on the 2013 F-150, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Did you notice a significant change in handling or appearance? Also, was the installation straightforward?

Thanks in advance for the help! I’m really looking forward to hearing what you all have experienced and any tips you might have on optimizing the setup with wheel spacers on my truck.

I’ve installed wheel spacers on my 2013 F150, and the handling has definitely improved. It feels more stable, especially during off-road driving. I can’t recommend it enough!

That’s great to hear! How much did they change your off-road stability? I’m looking to enhance mine too.

I installed 1.5-inch spacers on my F150, and I’ve noticed better cornering performance. It also gives it a more aggressive look which I love!

What weight rating do these spacers typically have? I haul a lot, and I want to be sure they can handle the load without failing.

I agree with you, tlucas! The aggressive stance makes a big difference in appearance, and I felt the handling benefits too.

I have the 2-inch spacers, and they help a ton with stability during heavy towing. The truck feels more planted than ever. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade!

Most spacers I’ve seen are rated for more than 4,000 lbs, but always good to double-check specs for your specific model!

Hey, I’m curious about the installation process. Is it easy enough for a DIYer, or would you recommend taking it to a shop?

Installing spacers is pretty straightforward, but I’d suggest having some basic tools and a friend to help. Just make sure to torque them correctly afterward!

What happens if they’re not torqued correctly? I don’t want to risk driving with loose spacers.

If they aren’t torqued down properly, it can lead to vibrations and even damage your wheel bearings in the long run. Always be cautious about that!

I put spacers on for aesthetic reasons initially, but the performance improvement really caught me off guard. This upgrade exceeded my expectations!

Spacers are a pain in the neck for some folks! My friend tried them and said it made his ride worse. Anyone else experienced that?

That’s unusual! Most of us here seem to enjoy the upgrades. What issues did your friend face?

I’m currently running 1.5 inch spacers from Rough Country on my 2013 F150, and they fit perfectly. No rubbing issues at all!

That sounds great! What wheel size are you using with those spacers?

I have read that 1-inch spacers can also work well, especially if you’re looking for a bit less width. Anyone tried those?

I’ve got 1-inch spacers from SpacersInc, and they gave me just the right stance without sacrificing performance. No complaints!

I just put 2-inch spacers on my F150. It’s a beast now, but I’m worried about wear on my suspension over time. Anyone have thoughts?
