Looking for the Best Street Bob Rear Fender Kit - Any Recommendations?

Rinehart fenders do look great! But I’ve read mixed reviews about their durability. How have yours held up over time?

Honestly, mine’s been pretty good! No major issues yet, just some regular wear and tear. I’d say they’re worth considering for the aesthetics alone.

What about any performance enhancements? I’ve heard that some fender kits can help with aerodynamics, is that true?

It’s not as pronounced for fenders, but lighter kits like the fiberglass ones can help slightly with weight reduction. Just be careful with quality though!

That’s good to know! Any recommendations for fiberglass options? Looking for something that doesn’t compromise on durability.

I’ve heard the Drag Specialties fiberglass fender kits are solid. They seem to balance lightness and strength pretty well. Definitely worth a look!

Thanks for all the input! I love this community. It’s refreshing to see so many supportive voices. Looking forward to finding the perfect fender!

I feel the same way! And hey, whatever fender you choose, just remember to have fun with it. It’s all about riding with style!

I’m a big fan of the Cobra rear fender kit for my Street Bob. The installation was straightforward, and maintenance has been a breeze! Just remember to regularly check for rust, especially after riding in the rain.

That sounds great! I’ve heard good things about the Cobra kit as well. Do you have any specific cleaning products you recommend to prevent rust?

I usually just use mild soap and water for cleaning, but I apply a wax every few months for extra protection. It makes a noticeable difference in rust resistance!

That’s solid advice! I’ve been too lazy to wax mine. How often should I really be doing it?

I’d say every two to three months is a good rule of thumb, but if you ride in wet conditions often, you might want to do it monthly. Better safe than sorry!

Awesome! What about rust prevention? Any special sprays you recommend?

I use a rust prevention spray called Fluid Film. It’s amazing! Works great for providing a protective barrier against moisture.

For those who might not want to use sprays, a good coat of automotive wax can also prevent rust. Just ensure the surface is clean before applying.

Great tip! I’ve noticed some light rust already. Should I be worried?

A little rust can often be easily removed, but if it’s deep, it may need more serious attention. I recommend using a rust remover or some fine sandpaper, but be cautious!

Yikes! Well, I’m in luck, then. Thank you! How about troubleshooting issues if the fender gets loose?

Check the mounting bolts first. They can loosen over time. If they’re tight, you might need to replace any worn rubber washers or spacers. It’s pretty easy, don’t worry!
