Looking for the Best Running Boards for My 2017 F150

If you’re looking for something with more grip, check out the N-Fab Nerf Steps. They’re pretty popular among F150 owners and come in different finishes. The downside? They can be more expensive.

True! But there’s often a trade-off between quality and price. I once bought cheaper boards and had to replace them after a year. Quality usually pays off in the long run!

I’ve heard that AMP Research PowerSteps are amazing for F150s. They retract automatically, which adds a cool factor, but they can get a bit pricey. Anyone got them?

I have the AMP PowerSteps, and they are fantastic! They work flawlessly, but be prepared for a higher initial investment. Totally worth it for the convenience!

There are also the rugged Retrax running boards. They’re customizable and can support a lot of weight. The downside is that they might require frequent cleaning to maintain their look.

True! But hey, if you want them to shine, it’s worth the effort sometimes! Anyone found good cleaning products for these?

I’ve been considering the LUVERNE running boards. They have a good design, but I’ve read mixed reviews about durability. I’m a bit torn about investing in them.

I felt the same way! I went for it and so far, they’ve held up quite well. Just don’t overload them and you should be good!

What about aluminum versus steel running boards? I’ve seen both options, and while aluminum is lighter, steel seems more durable. Anyone have insights on which is better?

I’m all for steel! They take more of a beating, especially if you’re off-roading. But it also depends on your driving style. How do you use your F150, highway or trail?

I really want to add some flair to my truck. Any thoughts on a brand that offers stylish running boards without sacrificing function? I’m open to ideas!

You might like the Go Rhino RB20s! They look sleek and have great grip. But keep in mind that they sit a bit lower to the ground, which could affect ground clearance.

I read somewhere that the Tyger Auto running boards are a great budget option. Has anyone tried them? I wonder if they really hold up over time or if they’re just a short-term fix.

I’ve had the Tyger Auto boards for two years now, and they’re still going strong! Great bang for your buck, no doubt about it.

Looking for the best running boards? I’ve had great luck with aluminum ones! They seem to hold up well against wear and tear. Just make sure to clean them regularly to prevent corrosion.

I’ve heard aluminum can be good, but how do you clean them to keep them looking brand new? Any special products you’d recommend?

Cleaning is key! I use a mild soap and water solution with a soft brush, and then I apply a wax finish every few months for extra protection. It really makes a difference!

What type of wax do you use? I’ve been underwhelmed with some products before.

I’ve used Meguiar’s Quick Wax and have had good results! Keeps them shiny and protected from scratches. Just make sure to wax them after you clean, or it won’t stick well.

Don’t forget that running boards can wear down quickly if you’re going off-road a lot. Steel ones might be more durable but are heavy and can rust if not maintained properly.
