I’m having a frustrating issue with my vehicle: the fuel pump isn’t turning on when I engage the ignition. I’ve checked a few things but I’m not sure where to go from here.
Here’s what I know so far:
My car won’t start, and the fuel pump seems inactive.
I’ve checked the fuse related to the fuel pump and it appears intact.
The relay was swapped out, but still no sign of power to the pump.
Questions I have:
Are there any specific tests I can run to confirm the pump is the issue?
I’ve heard about testing the voltage at the pump connector, but I’m not entirely sure how to do that safely.
Could there be wiring issues elsewhere?
If the pump is not receiving power, should I check any other components or wiring before deciding if the pump is toast?
Any common fixes or DIY methods?
I’m eager to try some repairs myself if possible but don’t want to go too deep into the system without a plan.

I’d really appreciate any advice, previous experiences, or troubleshooting steps one can recommend. Hoping to get my wheels back on the road soon!
Make sure to start with the basics! Check if the ignition switch is functioning properly. If it doesn’t make contact, the fuel pump won’t get energized.
