Anyone have a good cross-reference for 16510 Suzuki oil filter?

I’ve been doing some maintenance on my Suzuki and I’m looking to replace the oil filter. I’ve come across the part number 16510, but I want to know what other filters might be compatible. I’m particularly interested in cost-effective options or alternatives that I can easily find in stores or online.

Here are some things I’m considering:

  • Why Cross-Reference?: Sometimes it’s hard to find the specific part, and finding equivalents can save time and possibly money.
  • What Filters are Compatible?: If anyone has specific recommendations or brands they’ve used successfully as a substitute for the 16510 oil filter, that would be great to hear!
  • Where to Buy?: It would also be helpful if you could mention any retailers or online stores where these alternatives are available.
  • Performance and Quality: I’m curious about the performance of any suggested alternatives. Have they worked well in your Suzuki? Any issues?

I appreciate any tips you can provide! Looking forward to your suggestions and hoping to make my oil change a bit easier!

I’m looking for an oil filter that fits the Suzuki 16510 as well. I heard that the WIX filters are a great option!

I’ve had good experiences with WIX too! They seem to be durable and provide excellent filtration for my Suzuki.

Also consider the Purolator filters. They’re reasonably priced and work well with my 16510. Any thoughts on that?

I’ve used Purolator too, and they did just fine for my Suzuki. It’s a reliable option!

Don’t forget about the Mobil 1 filters. They’re a bit pricier but offer top-notch performance.

True! I usually go for Mobil 1 when I want something premium. Love the peace of mind!

Does anyone have a comparison of these brands? I am curious which really makes a difference in performance.

From what I’ve read, WIX seems to strike a balance between cost and efficiency. Has anyone tried FRAM?

I’ve used FRAM in the past, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about them with regards to quality. Anyone else feel the same?

Yeah, they can be hit or miss. Sometimes I wonder if they just put a sticker on a cheap filter! :joy:

I’m looking for alternatives to the OEM 16510 Suzuki oil filter. I’ve heard that brands like K&N and Mobil 1 offer better filtration efficiency. Anyone have experience with those?

I can vouch for the K&N filters! They have great flow rates and last longer than the stock ones. Plus, they come with a nut for easy removal.

I’ve used the Mobil 1 filter as well, and I noticed a significant difference in my engine’s performance. Just make sure to check the specs carefully because not all filters are the same.

That’s great to hear! I haven’t tried Mobil 1 yet. Any specific filtration efficiency ratings that stand out?

Hey! I checked the specs, and Mobil 1 claims a filtration efficiency of 99.6%. K&N is around 98%. Both are solid choices, depending on what you need for your ride.

That’s impressive! But how do those specs translate to everyday use? Do we really see a difference?

From what I’ve noticed, better filters can extend oil life too. I think it’s worth it for performance enthusiasts. It’s a little investment for many miles.

Exactly! It’s like your engine gets a spa treatment with the right filter. Who doesn’t want that?

What about the lifespan? Any insights on how long these alternative filters last compared to the OEM?
