Any Info on 2024 Chicago Area Car Shows by Double K?

Looking for Car Show Schedules

Hey fellow car enthusiasts!

I’m on the hunt for information about car shows happening in the Chicago area in 2024, specifically those organized by or linked with ‘Double K’. I’ve heard some buzz about the local scene, and I’d love to know if anyone has a tentative schedule or any details about upcoming events. Here are a few things I’m particularly interested in:

  • Dates & Locations: When and where are the shows expected to happen?
  • Participation: Are there opportunities for local car owners to showcase their vehicles?
  • Types of Events: Will there be competitions, exhibitions, or just casual meet-ups?
  • Registration Details: How does one sign up, either as a participant or spectator?

I’m hoping to plan my schedule for the year and maybe even get involved. If you have any tips, experiences, or links to event pages, I’d appreciate it! Looking forward to hearing from you guys!

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

Sounds awesome! I know last year they had great participation. What kind of vehicles are expected this time?

From the flyers I’ve seen, there will be classic cars, muscle cars, and even some newer models. I can’t wait to see the featured events!

Those events are always a blast! Are there any special highlights planned for this year? Like guest speakers or unique showcases?

I heard they’re featuring a custom car contest! It should draw in some incredible talent. Hope to see more details soon.

That sounds cool! I’ve always wanted to see custom builds up close. Are we looking at any particular themes this year?

I believe they’re focusing on vintage cars this time! Should be great for enthusiasts.

Vintage cars? Count me in! But I hope they don’t forget about the imports though! They’re just as worthy of a showcase.

I mean, who can resist a good classic or a flashy import? It’s like choosing between pizza and tacos!"

I recommend starting with vehicle prep! Make sure your car’s engine, interior, and exterior are in top shape. A good polish can make a big difference.

Absolutely! And don’t forget to bring a tool kit for any last-minute fixes at the show.

Engaging with other enthusiasts is key! Bring brochures or business cards, and always be ready to share your car’s story. It makes connections easier.

That’s great advice! I also suggest having some nice swag like stickers or keychains to hand out.

If you’re exhibiting, set up early! I once missed a show because I underestimated the setup time. It’s chaotic later on.

Such a bummer! Always better to be early, and don’t forget to bring snacks for the wait!

I think it’s also important to dress appropriately. Wear comfortable shoes because you’ll be on your feet a lot. And sunscreen is a must!

Definitely! Especially if it’s a busy show—my feet were killing me last time!

What are the typical admission fees? I want to budget accordingly before the shows start. Any recommendations?
