Every time my steering wheel light came on, I avoided the issue thinking it was nothing. Finally, I learned a lesson: always get a diagnostic! The last check cost $50, but saved me from a $400 repair later.
That’s such a smart move! I didn’t think to check for diagnostics; I’ll consider doing it next time.

I had a laugh when mine turned on while I was at a drive-thru. My friends joked it was telling me to ‘steer’ clear of fast food! 
At least I got it checked the next day.
That’s hilarious! At least your light wasn’t a sign that you really shouldn’t have eaten that burger.
