Absolutely! Malfunctioning sensors might also play a role. I had a weird problem where my car wouldn’t recognize the key.

I’ve read that the 2012 Mazda 3 had issues with the fuel pump and transmission. Has anyone else experienced that?
Yes! I had the fuel pump replaced under warranty, but it took a while to get repairs. Totally nerve-wracking!
I believe there was a recall on the transmission as well. If you haven’t checked your VIN, I recommend doing that!
