I had a friend who was skeptical about aftermarket shocks. After trying mine, he was impressed by how much smoother the ride became. Detroit Axle really does a solid job at enhancing comfort.

Just to add, I felt like the shock performance could vary by vehicle model. I’ve read mixed reviews, particularly around the Chevy models. Anyone else experienced that?

That’s interesting, stevenalexander. I have a Ford, and I’ve had no issues with the shocks. It’s been smooth sailing for me!

I’ve been using Detroit Axle shocks for over a year now, and my driving experience has never been better. I love how they tackle bumpy roads with ease. It’s like gliding over them. Highly recommended!

Wow, laurenmeadows! Sounds like you’re really happy with your setup. For the price, how do they hold up against wear and tear? Any issues there?

In my experience, Detroit Axle shocks have held up well. I regularly check and maintained mine, and I’ve seen minimal wear. But I do wonder if others experience that differently.

I think regular maintenance can indeed make a difference! Speaking of which, how often do you all do your inspections?

Honestly, I inspect mine every few months. You never know when those shocks might start to show signs of wear. But I must say, they’re doing great so far! No complaints from me!

It seems like a lot of people are having positive experiences. I just hope I don’t jinx my own setup by saying that!

I’ve had my Detroit Axle shocks for over a year now. They’ve held up well, even on rough roads. Anyone else have long-term experience?

I’ve been using them for 18 months, and they’re still performing well. No major wear yet, which is reassuring!

I’ve noticed they struggle a bit in harsh winter conditions. Anyone else experience that?

That’s interesting! My shocks seem fine in winter, but I mostly drive in the city. Maybe it’s the terrain?

I’ve had issues with premature wear after about a year on my truck. Wouldn’t recommend them for heavy-duty use.

That’s disappointing to hear. My experience has been positive, but I rarely haul heavy loads. Maybe that’s the difference?

How about noise? Do these shocks make any unusual sounds after some time?
