Looking for the Best Lithium Battery for My Motorcycle

Great question! Ideally, charge it at least once a month, but don’t leave it constantly plugged in - it can hurt the battery!

I’ve been using the Shorai LFX14A4-BS12 in my bike for over a year now. It’s been fantastic! Lightweight and holds a charge well even in cold weather. Just make sure to get the right size for your model.

That’s great to hear, Rebecca! I’ve read mixed reviews about Shorai, though. How does it perform on a long ride? Does it lose any power?

I had a terrible experience with a Ballistic battery. It died within six months, and the company’s customer service was awful. I switched to Yuasa batteries, which have been much more reliable for me.

Wow, that’s a bummer. I was looking at Ballistic but now I’m hesitant. What model of Yuasa are you using?

I’m using Yuasa YTZ10S. It’s been rock solid so far! I’ve had it for two seasons without any issues. I would recommend it for anyone needing reliability on long rides.

That’s reassuring to hear! I’ve always trusted Yuasa, but haven’t tried their lithium options yet. I’ll likely stick with my lead-acid Yuasa for now until I’m ready for a change.

I’m curious if anyone’s tried the Anti-Gravity batteries? I’ve heard they have a built-in jump-start feature which sounds cool but is also a gimmick. Thoughts?

I have! The jump-start feature works well, but the battery drained quicker than I expected after a few weeks of inactivity. It’s good, but you need to keep it charged.

I’ve always found humor in the ‘never-ending battery debate.’ It’s like choosing a favorite child! Every brand has its pros and cons. I love my none-too-expensive Eco Battery though. It’s served me well for three years and counting!

Haha, true! I agree, a reliable battery is hard to find. I’ll definitely be checking out Eco Battery too. Thanks for sharing your experience!
