Community Feedback

I’ve also noticed different forums discussing potential upgrades and lifestyle choices that come with owning a Fat Bob. If you’ve made any modifications or have learned something valuable during your ownership, please share!

Looking forward to hearing your personal experiences and advice! Let’s get a discussion going on this iconic bike.

I’ve had my 2014 Fat Bob for a few years now, and the riding experience is fantastic. The torque is powerful, and it’s surprisingly agile for such a chunky bike.

That’s awesome to hear! How does it handle in tight corners? I’m a bit concerned about that aspect.

The Fat Bob handles well in corners. The lower center of gravity adds to its stability. However, it’s still a heavy bike, so sharp turns require a bit of finesse.

Thanks for the advice! What’s your experience with comfort on longer rides?

Comfort on long rides is decent. The seating is quite spacious, but after a few hours, I can feel some fatigue. It’s not the worst, but not a cloud either.

I’ve noticed similar fatigue after long rides. Do you think it’s mainly the seating, or could it be the vibration from the engine too?

Great point! The vibrations can definitely add to the discomfort depending on the road conditions.

Overall, this bike shines when it comes to performance metrics like speed and torque. It can hold its own against competition, but I wouldn’t call it a sport bike.

I totally agree. It’s more about cruising than racing, which is just fine by me! But are there any drawbacks I should know about?

Fuel efficiency can be a bit disappointing, depending on your riding style. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to tour with it.

I’ve been riding my 2014 Fat Bob for a few years now, and one of the best upgrades I’ve done is installing a Vance & Hines exhaust. It really enhances the sound and performance! Highly recommend it.

That’s awesome, hgomez! I also did a Vance & Hines upgrade, but I paired it with a fuel management system. It really helped with throttle response.

I’ve seen a lot of people customize their Fat Bob with different seats. Anyone have suggestions for comfort? I’m planning a long trip soon!

I replaced the stock seat with a Saddlemen seat, and it made a world of difference! Super comfy for long rides.

Don’t forget about aesthetics! I added LED lights to my Fat Bob, and it not only looks great but improves visibility at night!

Great tip, ellispaul! I went the extra mile with a custom paint job. It definitely turns heads, but it was quite the investment!

What about performance tires? I’m thinking of upgrading mine. Any specific recommendations?

Check out Michelin Commander II tires! They offer great grip and longevity, really transformed my ride!

I’ve gone back and forth on whether to upgrade my suspension. Any thoughts on that? Is it worth the money?
