Just to add, I’ve also used Bendix pads and they held up very well! Recommended if you’re looking for something trustworthy.

Thanks for the suggestions! Are there any specific models from these brands that you’d recommend?

I really liked the Raybestos Element3 series. They performed excellently in my car!

I’ve heard mixed reviews about some brands. Are we sure these are all American made? I think it’s important to double-check.

Good point, hstewart. It’s true we need to verify. Wagner and Raybestos do have American factories, so that’s a plus!

I read somewhere that some brands just label their products as American-made but source some parts from abroad. Anyone else see this?

I’ve noticed that too! It can be frustrating to navigate. Transparency is key!

After all that discussion, I guess I should just stick with quick reliable brands! What’s a good place to pick up some in-store?

Definitely check out your local Pep Boys! They usually have a decent selection of quality brake pads.

I would suggest checking reviews on sites like Tire Rack. But nothing beats hearing personal experiences!

I couldn’t agree more! It’s interesting what brands people stand by.

So many choices! I think I need a brake pad decoder ring at this point. :joy:

I’m concerned about the environmental impact of products we buy. American made brake pads often adhere to stricter environmental regulations, which is a plus! It’s great to consider the sustainable practices involved in their manufacturing.

Exactly! Plus, the carbon footprint for transport is way lower when they are made locally. It’s a win-win for our planet and local economies.

Great discussion! Sustainable manufacturing practices in the US can reduce pollution levels considerably. Plus, supporting local economies helps create jobs. That’s something we should definitely consider when buying brake pads.

Absolutely, dsutton! I’d also like to know specific brands that practice these sustainable methods. Anyone have suggestions?

I’ve read that some American manufacturers are using recycled materials for their brake pads. This not only helps the environment but often improves performance. More brands should follow suit!

That’s a good point, shannonlozano! Reducing waste and improving performance can really change the game regarding brake pad production.

Supporting American made products can also result in better accountability. If something goes wrong, it’s easier to deal with local suppliers. Plus, it helps support jobs right here at home!
