Every couple of rides is what I aim for, especially after some rough trails. Better safe than sorry!
Exactly! Sometimes I feel like my tires need a vacation after tough trails. Anyone else feel that way? Haha!
Definitely! If only they could speak! I’d love to hear my tires complain about rough rides. Great advice here, everyone!
Let’s not forget about the importance of good tire pressure during the installation. This makes all the difference in performance! How do others handle tire pressure checks?
I’m also looking for good 16 inch dual sport tires! I’ve heard great things about the Michelin Anakee series for mixed terrains.
The Anakee’s balance on- and off-road is impressive! However, I found them a bit pricier than others. Anyone tried the Shinko 804/805?
I actually switched to Shinko 804/805 for a budget-friendly option. They perform well on dirt and aren’t too bad on asphalt either at around $120 each.
I’ve heard mixed reviews on their lifespan though. How long did yours last?
Got about 5,000 miles before they started showing serious wear. I ride a mix of trails and highway, which may have contributed. How do the Bridgestone Battlax perform?
I love the Bridgestone Battlax! They handle well on-road and offer decent off-road traction. However, they can be a bit slippier in the mud compared to others.
That’s helpful! Do you think they suit heavier bikes too?
I ride a heavier bike and the Battlax have held up well. Definitely more of a touring tire, but I wouldn’t use them for extreme off-roading.
So, what about the Conti TKC 70? They’re supposed to be great for rugged terrains but still good on highways.
TKC 70s have an awesome grip on both surfaces, but I’d say they’re more suited for those who do more off-road. Priced around $160, they’re worth considering!
A little on the higher side! Anyone managed to snag them on sale?
I’ve seen them discounted during the off-season! Just keep an eye on local dealers and online stores. Tire hunting can definitely be fun!
