Looking for Honda Fit Trunk Dimensions - Need Your Insights!

I’ve been really curious about the trunk dimensions of the Honda Fit, both with the seats up and down. I want to make sure it can handle my day-to-day cargo needs before I make a decision.

Some Specifics I’m Looking For:

  • Measurements: What are the exact dimensions of the trunk space when the seats are up versus down?
  • Usable Space: How practical is it for larger items? For example, can a bike fit in there with the seats down?
  • Comparisons: If anyone has experience with other small cars, how does the Honda Fit stack up in terms of trunk space?
  • Real-World Usage: Any stories or tips from fellow Honda Fit owners on how you utilize the cargo area?

I’d really appreciate any insights, detailed measurements, or even pictures if you have them! Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey everyone! I’m curious about the Honda Fit’s trunk dimensions. How much space is there with the seats up and down? Any insight would be really helpful!

With the seats up, the Honda Fit offers around 16.6 cubic feet of cargo space. If you fold the seats down, it expands to about 52.7 cubic feet. It’s surprisingly spacious for a compact car!

I agree with smithbethany! I frequently take road trips and the Fit has fit all my bags with ease. Plus, the magic seat feature is a game changer for odd-shaped items.

Not only is the Fit spacious, but it also handles very well compared to other compacts! I tried a couple before settling on this one.

How does the loading capacity of the Fit stack up against cars like the Toyota Yaris or Ford Fiesta? I’ve heard mixed reviews.

The Fit definitely has the edge! While the Yaris has about 15.9 cubic feet with the seats up, and the Fiesta around 14.9, the Fit provides more flexible space overall.

That’s awesome! What about loading larger items? Does the trunk opening accommodate that?

Yes, the trunk opening is quite wide, making it easier to load larger items. I’ve fit my bike in there without needing to take the front wheel off!

I can’t help but chuckle at how versatile the Fit is! It’s like a Tardis but for groceries! Plenty of room inside when you need it.

Haha! That’s a great way to put it. How does it handle the weight? I’ve read it can feel a bit sluggish when fully loaded.

It can feel a little sluggish with a full load, but I think that’s normal for compact cars. Just plan your highway merges a bit better!

Exactly! You might be surprised by how much you can fit, but don’t forget about the weight distribution too. Just keep that in mind when packing.

Overall, I love my Honda Fit! It’s reliable, compact, and has just the right amount of cargo space for my needs. Highly recommend it to anyone needing a versatile car!

I’m looking for the trunk dimensions of the Honda Fit too! From what I’ve heard, it’s about 20.6 cubic feet with seats up. Can anyone confirm the length and width?

I believe the trunk dimensions are roughly 30 inches long and 36 inches wide. It’s helpful when trying to fit luggage!

Having owned a Fit, I can say the height is about 28 inches. It’s impressive how much you can fit in there compared to its size!

Thanks for the info, wchan! Those measurements really help. Does anyone know if a mountain bike fits easily with the back seats down?

Absolutely, I’ve tossed my bike in there with the seats folded down. It fits well—just be sure to remove the front wheel for extra space!

Good tip! I also manage to fit a small futon by folding down the seats.
