Just remember, the roof rack is not a mystical thing, and it won’t magically fit all your gear! Make sure of those specs!

I’ve had some troubles with my BMW roof rack base support system too. The fit can be finicky, especially with aftermarket accessories. Make sure you’re using parts designed specifically for your model.
I had the same issue with fitment! I ended up switching to Thule accessories, which worked much better for me. Highly recommend checking them out!

I’m using mine for bikes! The BMW bike rack fits well but I had to get extra rubber pads to keep my bike stable during transit.

I’ve also noticed that using a different brand makes a difference. I switched to Yakima for my roof box, and it fits perfectly with the base! Much more secure now.
