Looking for Body Kit Options for My 2013 Chevy Cruze

Seeking Help with Body Kits for My 2013 Chevy Cruze

I recently got my hands on a 2013 Chevy Cruze and I’m looking to give it a bit of a makeover. I’ve been doing some research on body kits, but I’m overwhelmed by the options available and I want to make sure I choose something that not only looks great but also fits well and doesn’t compromise the performance of the car.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Aesthetic Appeal: I want something that enhances the overall look of the Cruze without making it look too flashy or out of place.
  • Fitment: I’m concerned about compatibility; I want a kit that fits well and won’t require excessive modification.
  • Material Quality: I’ve seen kits made from different materials like fiberglass, polyurethane, and carbon fiber. What do you guys recommend?
  • Price Range: I’m trying to keep a reasonable budget—what’s the average cost for a good body kit?

Questions to Consider:

  1. Where to Buy: Any recommendations on reputable places to purchase body kits? I’ve seen some listings on eBay and CARiD, but I want to hear from people who have actually bought them.
  2. Installation Tips: Would it be easy to install myself, or should I take it to a shop?
  3. Aftermarket Support: Are there any kits that come with good support or warranty?

I appreciate any advice or personal experiences you can share. Thanks in advance for your input!

I’m excited to see what options are available for the 2013 Chevy Cruze! I’ve been looking into a few body kits and would love to hear your thoughts.

Have you checked out the Duraflex kits? They have some nice aerodynamic options that require minimal modifications. Definitely worth considering!

I think the APC body kit is popular among Cruze owners too. It’s designed to fit well with the LT trim without a ton of hassle. Has anyone had experience with it?

I have the APC kit on my 2013 LTZ and I love it! It was pretty straightforward to install, only minor adjustments needed.

Has anyone considered the VIS Racing kits? They look awesome but I’ve heard mixed reviews on compatibility. What do you think?

I had a VIS kit on my previous car. They look great but can require a good amount of tweaking to get everything aligned properly. Just be prepared for some extra work!

You might want to check out the Maxton Design kits as well. They seem to fit well on a variety of Cruze models and have a sporty aesthetic.

I’ve heard good things about Maxton too! Are they easy to install with the stock bumper?

Yes, the Maxton kits are designed to work with the stock bumper, which makes installation a breeze. Definitely a top choice if you’re looking for simplicity!

Have you thought about how the color matching will work with any kits? Some might not paint well over time. Just a thought before you commit!

Good point, but I think many of these brands have good paint finishes. It’s all about doing your research before buying!

I heard that the RKSport kits can look fantastic, but they might be pricey. Anyone know if they’re worth the investment?

RKSport definitely provides quality; however, pricing can be steep. You might find some affordable alternatives that look just as good.

Exactly! If you’re on a budget, maybe look into some local shops that might offer custom kits.

Hey everyone! I’m looking into body kits for my 2013 Chevy Cruze. Has anyone done a DIY install? What challenges did you face?

I installed my kit last summer! It was tough aligning the front bumper, but patience really helped. I recommend getting a friend to help out!

Fantastic tips, @smithbrendan! I’ve read that using a heat gun can help with stubborn parts. What tools did you use?

You definitely need a socket set and ratchet. A drill is also handy for those stubborn screws. I did my install alone, which made it super frustrating at times!

I’ve been there! The hardest part was getting everything to fit perfectly. A lift would’ve been great.
