Looking for Advice on Yukon 24 Inch Rims!

I’m currently on the hunt for a set of 24-inch rims for my GMC Yukon, and I could use some guidance from the community.

What I’m Looking For

  • Style Choices: I’ve seen a ton of options online, ranging from sleek and modern to something more rugged. Any recommendations on styles that look good on Yukons?
  • Where to Buy: Are there any trusted retailers or online platforms you all would suggest for purchasing? I want to make sure I’m getting a good deal without compromising quality.
  • Performance Concerns: I’m also curious about how 24-inch rims affect vehicle performance. Has anyone noticed a change in handling or ride comfort? Should I be worried about the clearance or potential rubbing?
  • Larger Sizes: I’m thinking about whether to stick with 24s or if I should consider going bigger. What sizes are you all using, and why? I want to ensure my Yukon still handles well while looking great.

Additional Thoughts

  • If anyone has pictures of their Yukons with 24-inch rims, I’d love to see them! Visuals would really help in making a decision.
  • I also need advice on tires that pair well with these rims. Any suggestions on brands or specs?

I appreciate any insights you all can share! Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! I’m looking into tire options for my Yukon 24 inch rims. What would you recommend for all-terrain driving?

I recently fitted some Nitto Terra Grapplers on mine. They’re great for both on-road comfort and off-road capability! Highly recommend them.

For performance, you might want to consider Michelin LTX A/T2. They have a solid tread pattern that balances asphalt performance and off-road traction.

Sounds interesting! How do they handle in the snow? That’s a big concern for me.

I can vouch for the LTX A/T2 in snowy conditions—impressive grip! You will feel secure driving even when the roads are slippery.

Don’t forget to consider size! A 275/60R24 is widely suggested for the Yukon. It fits well without compromising on the aesthetics.

This is true! But do you think going a bit wider would affect performance?

It really depends on your driving style, but a wider tire can improve stability. Just keep an eye on the wheel well clearance to avoid rubbing.

What about mud tires for those who take their Yukons off the beaten path? Any suggestions that won’t be too loud on the highway?

Mud tires can be noisy, but I’ve heard good things about the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R. Good traction without being too obnoxious on highways.

That sounds promising! I’ll need to give them a shot. Are there any other quieter options out there?

For quieter options, consider the Continental TerrainContact A/T. They do a great job of balancing noise with off-road capability.

I’m considering upgrading to 24-inch rims for my Yukon. Can anyone share the installation process or any fitment issues I should look out for?

I just installed 24-inch rims on my 2019 Yukon! The process was pretty straightforward, but I had to adjust the wheel wells slightly to avoid rubbing.

If you’re going for 24-inch rims, remember to check your Yukon’s suspension. You might need a lift kit for proper clearance!

Definitely! I had to install a leveling kit to get enough clearance with my new rims.

I’m curious if anyone has had difficulty with the tire pressure sensors after switching to larger rims?

Yes! I had issues with my sensors after the switch. They read incorrectly, and I had to have them recalibrated.

What was the process like for recalibrating? I’m not too familiar with it.
