I had that same issue! I replaced the ABS fuse and it fixed it right away. Sometimes it’s the simplest things that drive you crazy.
Does anyone know if there are specific fuses for the radio? Mine just stopped working out of the blue, and I suspect the fuse might be the culprit.
Yes! The radio usually shares a fuse in the panel. Check the diagram to see which one controls it. It could save you a headache!
I remember when mine shorted out. I thought I would go crazy! After changing all the fuses and checking connections, I finally found the cause was a loose ground wire. A good laugh after the fact, but not then!
That’s hilarious in retrospect, but must have been frustrating! I’ll keep that in mind as I troubleshoot my own issues. Thanks for sharing!
I had the same issue! I found a great resource on Ford’s official website. They have digital manuals that include fuse panel diagrams.
That’s super helpful! I didn’t know they had that. Anyone have a direct link by chance?
You can also check out forums like F150online or Ford Truck Enthusiasts. They have lots of user-shared diagrams.
Thanks! I’ll look those up. I hope to find a specific guide for the 1999 F350 though.
Honestly, I used a Haynes manual for my F350, and it was super detailed! You might want to check your local auto parts store.
That’s a great suggestion! Are those manuals usually available for free anywhere?
I found my diagram using a Google image search. Just type ‘1999 F350 fuse panel diagram,’ and you might find something good.
I can’t believe I didn’t try that sooner! Sometimes I feel so tech averse.
A friend of mine actually keeps a PDF of his F350 service manual. I’d be happy to share it if anyone needs it!
Count me in! That would save me a ton of time! How do I get it?
Just to lighten the mood, it took me a day to figure out my fuse panel issues. I ended up putting my car’s manual in the fridge for the jokes.
Haha! That’s hilarious! But remember, sometimes the fridge is the only place for cool diagrams!
