Can anyone share their review of Cooper CS5 Grand Touring tires?

I’ve been doing some research on the Cooper CS5 Grand Touring tires and I’m really interested in hearing from anyone who has experience with them. I’m considering a set for my vehicle, but I want to make sure I’m making the right choice. Here are a few specific things I’m curious about:

Performance Characteristics

  • How do they perform in dry conditions? Are they responsive and provide good traction?
  • What about wet weather handling? I’ve heard mixed things, so any input would be appreciated.
  • If you’ve used them in snowy conditions, how well do they handle? Are they reliable in winter driving?

Longevity and Wear

  • How long have you had them? Are they holding up well over time or do they wear down quicker than expected?

Noise Levels

  • I’m particularly sensitive to road noise. How quiet are these tires on the highway or rougher roads?

Overall Ratings

  • If you’ve reviewed them on comparison websites or in forums, how do they stack up against other brands? Are they worth the investment? Would you recommend them?

I’d greatly appreciate any insights you can share, as I want to make an informed decision before purchasing. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’ve been using Cooper CS5 Grand Touring tires for a year now, and they perform really well in wet conditions. The traction is impressive, making me feel safe even during heavy rains.

That’s great to hear! I was worried about how they handle snow. Anyone tried them in winter conditions?

I’ve driven them in snow, and they actually surprised me. There is decent grip, but I’d recommend being cautious on icy roads.

Good point! I find these tires really responsive on dry roads. Cornering feels stable, which I love.

Totally agree, mendezalicia! The handling is quite superb. I even tried aggressive driving on a few occasions, and they held up nicely with minimal skidding.

I’m glad to see so many positive comments! How’s the road noise? I’m curious if they’re quiet for long drives.

Road noise is relatively low, melissahodge, especially compared to other touring tires I’ve used. Makes for a pleasant highway experience!

I find them decent for long drives too. You hardly notice the noise unless you’re really paying attention!

Good to know! But what about tread wear? I’ve heard mixed reviews on durability.

I’ve done about 30,000 miles with mine, and the tread looks great! I don’t anticipate any issues with wear anytime soon.

That’s reassuring, tylerjefferson! I’ve had tires that wear down too quickly. But have any of you experienced issues with customer service related to these tires?

I haven’t had to deal with customer service yet. Hopefully, it’ll stay that way! But I’ve read some mixed comments online.

I’ve heard the same! Just out of curiosity, has anyone compared these to Michelin tires?

I’ve used Michelin, and while they’re great, I find the CS5 a better value for the performance you get. They aren’t too far behind in handling either!

I think it depends on your driving style. For me, the CS5s provide a nice balance of price and performance!

True! But aren’t they more suitable for sedate drivers? If you’re a bit of a speed demon, I’d hate to lose grip.

Haha, amandamendez! No worries, you won’t lose grip unless you’re driving like you’re in a Fast and Furious movie! They’re more fun than I expected.

I’ve been using the Cooper CS5 Grand Touring tires for almost a year now, and I must say, they have excellent tread wear. I drive a lot, and they still look good as new!

That’s great to hear, laura! I’ve always been skeptical about Cooper tires, but your experience sounds convincing. What’s the treadwear warranty like?
