BMW Frozen Black Metallic - Worth the Hype?

I agree with you, @hoganlawrence. Keeping it polished and sealed is key. I use a ceramic coating which helps protect against fading.

Has anyone tried touch-up paints for Frozen Black? I’m afraid I’ll mess it up! What do you recommend?

I’ve found some touch-up kits online that have good reviews. Just be sure to test on a small area first. You definitely don’t want to ruin your beautiful paint job!

Right?! It’s such a unique color. You want it to shine, not get wrecked by a bad touch-up.

One thing I’ve noticed is the need for constant cleaning. The matte finish shows dust and fingerprints way more than regular paint.

That’s so true! Sometimes I feel like I’m always washing it. But it’s worth it for that stunning look!

I actually use a matte finish spray for cleaning, which helps reduce the smudges. It makes a difference!

I wouldn’t say it’s not worth it. It’s just a matter of knowing what you’re signing up for. I love my Frozen Black!

With all these downsides, is it really worth the hype? Maybe I should consider a different color.

Honestly, I think the attention it gets is worth a little extra maintenance. Plus, who doesn’t like showing off their ride?

I chuckle at how much time we spend on upkeep. Sometimes I joke I should just get a pet rock instead!

Haha, I love that! But honestly, it’s like caring for a delicate masterpiece. A little effort goes a long way!

I recently purchased my BMW with the Frozen Black Metallic finish, and I must say, it looks incredible under different lights! In direct sunlight, it has this deep, matte look that other colors just can’t match.

That’s awesome! I’ve heard it can look quite different at night. How does it hold up in low light?

Under low lighting, it has a sleek, almost stealthy vibe. However, I would recommend considering a ceramic coating to maintain its look. The matte finish can scuff easily!

Good tip! I’ve been wanting to get a coating. How does it compare maintenance-wise to regular colors? I’m worried about upkeep.

Honestly, it does require more care. Regular washes, and you have to avoid any auto car washes. Hand washes are the way to go to prevent scratches.

I love my Frozen Black Metallic BMW! It’s stunning to look at, but definitely be cautious about how you park it. I once got a scratch just from another car’s door swinging open!

Ouch! That must have hurt. Have you had an issue with the color fading or dulling?

So far no fading for me, but I make sure to garage it whenever possible. I also apply a matte-specific wax every few months, which helps preserve the finish.
