Best Mud Flaps for My Ford Dually?

Great tips, whiteeric! I found that having a helper makes the process easier, especially with those larger Duallys.

Absolutely! And don’t forget to measure twice before drilling; it’s a common mistake that can be avoided.

That is solid advice! My first install ended up with crooked flaps—learned that the hard way!

I recommend using rubber mud flaps to reduce the chances of cracking, especially in colder climates. They’re durable and flexible!

Definitely consider the material! Rubber is great, but some prefer vinyl if they want something lighter. Just depends on your preference!

I’ve also heard that finding mud flaps specifically designed for Duallys can improve fitment and performance.

Tools you might forget: a ratchet and sockets for easier tightening. Just a heads up!

Exactly, lauravazquez! Do you guys think it’s worth investing in those heavy-duty options, or are standard ones good enough?

I think heavy-duty ones are better for off-roading, but if you mainly drive on roads, regular ones should be fine.

Maybe I’m being too picky here, but I just want them to look good too! Anyone have brand recommendations?

The WeatherTech ones are popular, but I’ve seen some custom fab options that look awesome! Just be cautious of the price!

I ended up going with Husky liners, and I’m really happy with them. They blend style and functionality!

What kind of challenges did you all face during installation? Share your experiences! I want to be prepared.

For me, the biggest challenge was dealing with rusty screw holes. Had to use a tap and die set to fix that issue.

I’m looking for the best mud flaps too! To maintain them, I recommend cleaning them regularly with soap and water to remove dirt and debris. It really helps them last longer.

Great tip! Don’t forget to inspect them for cracks or signs of wear periodically.

Also, look for any bending or warping caused by heat or pressure. If they are starting to tear at the edges, it’s probably time to replace them.

Exactly! I noticed some of mine were worn down after a tough winter. Better to replace than to risk damage.

Has anyone used the rubber or plastic mud flaps? I’ve heard that rubber can sometimes withstand wear better. What do you all think?

I actually prefer plastic! They’re lighter and don’t fade as much. Just keep them clean and inspected!
