I’ve been using Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires for over a year now, and I find them relatively quiet compared to some other brands like Goodyear. On smooth highways, they’re almost whisper-quiet!

That’s interesting! I’ve only had them for six months, but I felt they got a bit louder on rough roads compared to my previous Hankooks.

I can relate, @georgecruz. When I switched from Michelin to Tiger Paw, I noticed a minor increase in noise, especially when driving on gravel roads.

Overall, though, I think the quality you get with Tiger Paw tires is worth it! The noise difference isn’t a deal-breaker for me during my daily commute.

I just put a set of Tiger Paw tires on my SUV and feel they are comparable to my old Nitto tires. Noisy or not, they perform well in wet conditions!

I used Tiger Paw tires on my sedan, and I agree @reynoldsdonna. They handle well but do produce a noticeable hum on the freeway.

It seems like everyone has different experiences with them. Are there specific road conditions where they might be noisier?

From my experience, they can be a bit noisier on rough asphalt, but on newer pavement, they’re pretty quiet. @simmonsamanda maybe road texture plays a big role!

Just curious if the noise varies with tire size. Asking because I’m considering a larger size for my truck…

I upgraded to a larger size, and there’s definitely more road noise, but I love the grip! Gains and losses, right? Haha.

Haha, I feel that! Noise isn’t everything, but I do prefer quieter tires for my long drives. @cainsherry do you think the grip justifies the noise?

For me, it does! I can handle some noise if it means better performance on turns and during inclement weather.

I had a less pleasant experience though. After a few months, they got louder to the point where I almost regretted the purchase. Some brands just perform better overall.

That’s a bummer, @nconner. I haven’t had that issue, but I’m starting to wonder if the noise levels are largely a matter of luck and individual car types.

Totally agree @dsmith. My friend’s experience with them was super quiet, but her car might have better insulation. It makes a difference!

I’ve noticed that too! Reflecting on it, I think noise is often forgotten in favor of traction and handling when we’re tire shopping. Something to think about.

I’ve had the Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires for about a year now. I find them pretty quiet on the highway, but city driving can get a bit noisier, especially on rough surfaces.

That’s interesting! I noticed the same thing. City streets with potholes definitely amplify the noise. I guess it’s all about the road condition!

I drive mainly in the city, and while I love the grip of the Tiger Paw tires, I’m not a fan of the noise levels during stop-and-go traffic.
