Anyone Own a Ford F150 Black Widow? Need Your Thoughts!

I love the overall aesthetic too! However, I’ve heard mixed reviews on the suspension modifications. Some say they enhance performance while others think they compromise ride comfort. Anyone else feel that way?

That’s a valid point! While I appreciate the lifted look, I do feel the ride can be a bit bumpy. It’s definitely not a regular truck ride anymore!

Haha, true! It’s more like a mix between off-roading and city driving now. But the looks you get are just worth it, right?

Definitely! The looks are a big part of the appeal. I can’t wait to see what future customization options they might offer, too. Always looking to make it my own!

I’ve had my Black Widow for about a year now, and I can say it’s been pretty reliable. The off-road capability is fantastic, but make sure to keep an eye on the tires—they wear out faster due to the added weight.

I completely agree! I also found that regular oil changes are key to maintaining performance. I went with synthetic oil to help with the engine health.

I’ve owned a few F150s, but the Black Widow stands out! Mine has had a few hiccups, mainly with the electronics. Just be prepared to update software occasionally.

That’s interesting. Have you noticed any patterns in when those electronic issues occur? Like during certain weather or conditions?

I’ve had mine for two years now and, aside from standard maintenance, it’s been pretty robust. But I would recommend getting a good protective coating for the undercarriage if you live in a snowy area.

Absolutely! Rust can sneak up on you, and that’s no joke. Always better to be proactive!

I love my Black Widow for city driving! Though, I did have to get the brakes checked early on. Just something to keep in mind for newer models.

Wow, that’s good to know! How did you handle that? Any recommendations for brake pads?

Honestly, I didn’t have to replace them, just some adjustments. I went with some high-performance pads—definitely made a difference! But I’ve also seen others go with OEM to keep it simple.

I find it amusing how much some people expect from trucks. They’re meant to work hard and play hard! Just keep up with basic maintenance—oil, brakes, and tires. They’ll take care of you!

Right?! Sometimes I think people forget they’re vehicles and not delicate flowers!
