Anyone installed a side mount license plate on their Harley Davidson?

That’s really helpful! Does anyone have tips on how to mount it securely? I don’t want it to rattle around while riding.

I installed mine using heavy-duty brackets and lock nuts. It has held up great! Just make sure everything is tight before you hit the road.

Awesome advice, Wendy! I’ve seen people use rubber mounts to dampen vibrations. Does that really help?

Yes, rubber mounts can reduce vibration and help your plate last longer. Just make sure they don’t obstruct visibility!

Good to know! What about the legality in Texas? I heard it’s pretty lenient there.

In Texas, license plates can be mounted in various positions as long as they are clearly visible and properly illuminated. Just keep them straight and not obstructed by anything.

That’s a relief! I was worried I might get pulled over. Anyone ever been fined for this type of thing?

Unfortunately, yes! A friend of mine got a ticket in Florida for not having his plate visible at all times. It’s best to double-check your local regulations!

Wow, that’s a bummer! Just another reason to stay informed. I’ve also heard that some people use novelty plates as a cover. Funny idea or risky?

Honestly, it’s both! It could be a fun conversation starter, but it also looks suspicious. Just make sure to have your real plate mounted correctly!

Exactly! I guess it just comes down to personal preference. Anyone have a specific design they recommend for side mounts?

I love the minimalist designs! The simpler, the better. It gives your bike a sleeker look and keeps things compliant.

Minimalist is the way to go! I’m thinking about adding LED lights to it—an added flair, right?

Has anyone tried the custom aluminum designs? They look sleek and lightweight, perfect for a Harley!

I’ve got one in brushed aluminum. It really makes my ride stand out while keeping it functional!

I recently installed a custom mount that incorporates LED lights. It’s not just for looks; it enhances visibility too!

Those LED mounts are awesome! I’m considering one myself, but I’m unsure about wiring. How’d you handle that?

I used a simple splice connector to wire into the tail light. Super easy!

What about using carbon fiber? I think it could add a unique touch and be incredibly durable.

I love the idea of carbon fiber! Just be cautious with the cost; it can get pretty pricey.
