Anyone done a Coyote swap on a Ford F100? Need tips!

Once the swap is done, it’s all about refining things like driveshaft length and rear-end gearing. My swap felt slow until I changed the gearing to match the engine’s potential.

That’s a great tip! I actually ended up going with an aftermarket rear end to get the best performance possible.

Finding proper air intake and filter placement can also be a challenge! I had to do quite a bit of custom work to fit mine without compromising airflow.

Haha, tell me about it! Had to use some ‘creative engineering’ to tuck mine away nice and neat.

Let’s not forget about the power steering system! I had to adapt my old system since the Coyote doesn’t have the same fittings. It was a tight squeeze in there.

That’s a good point! The Coyote’s power steering can be a bit finicky. Make sure to check for leaks after everything is put together.

Remember, at the end of the day, swaps can be a labor of love. Just take your time and enjoy the process! My F100 is now my pride and joy!
