Any Feedback on Low Profile Harley Helmets?

Totally! I recently took a five-hour trip, and my head stayed surprisingly cool with the right helmet. How do the newer models compare in ventilation?

I’m currently debating between a few models. I want something lightweight but with solid protection. Anyone have favorites?

The Schuberth M1 Pro is my go-to! It’s light and offers amazing comfort for long rides. Just make sure to check the sizing chart; it runs a bit small.

I find it interesting how some helmets look cool but sacrifice comfort. Have you all experienced that?

Absolutely! Style over substance can lead to a miserable ride. I bought a helmet purely for looks, and it gave me headaches after an hour.

I think it’s vital to consider the weight of the helmet too. Heavy helmets can cause neck strain over long rides, which is definitely not fun!

I have a very average head shape, and I’ve been happy with my low profile HJC helmet. It fits well, but I wonder how it would do in extreme conditions.

Good point! I took my helmet through a rainstorm once, and while it held up fine, the fogging was annoying. What do you all do to address that?

A little anti-fog spray works wonders! I also prefer helmets with a face shield to avoid that problem altogether.

I’ve heard the low profile helmets can make you feel less secure. Anyone feel that way? I sometimes feel too exposed.

I get that! There’s a trade-off for style versus protection. It’s all about balancing comfort with safety.

Ha! I always say, if you want to look good while riding, wear a full face helmet. But honestly, comfort is key! How many of us prioritize fit over style?

I’ve been using a low profile Harley helmet for about a year now and I love the sleek design! It’s perfect for those long rides while still looking stylish.

Matte black is always a classic choice! Has anyone tried the new colors like the retro blue or olive greens? They look amazing.

I’ve seen those colors, watkinssamuel! They really pop. I wonder how they hold up in the sun?

Honestly, I love the chrome finish helmets. They shine beautifully and complement my chrome accents perfectly!

Chrome is bold! I feel like they require extra maintenance though to keep that shine, right?

That’s true, but the effort is worth it for that look! Plus, they really complement the vintage Harley models.
